Finally the work on Jabber Stadium is underway. Sadly with all the money and wealth this country has, yet sports facilities are below bar and professionalism. I visited it in its early building phases where i was shocked to see that nothing was done, or shall i say it seemed unplanned at the beginning. Looking at it now, makes think that it really might get a solid famous reputation in the region. Yet again when i look at the other stadiums in the country the touch of sorrows get in to me, they're no fully equipped, nor have what it takes to be a professional soccer ground for matches to be played in.
We all saw the opening ceremony of the 15th Doha Asian Olympics, i personally attended the opening ceremony. " not the issue " what the issue is that the stadium and the whole athletic city was built in around 18 months costing 2.2 billion Qatar Riyals, a complete full equipped sports city with its hotels, modern training facilities, T.V broadcasting units and studios built in around one and a half year, imagine the commitment those guys were in to and imagine us in Kuwait stealing, lying and fighting over a stadium that took approximately 8 years to get planned and 2 years more to start the infra structuring phase. Sadly it may even take another 2 more years to have its doors open for fans and audience.
" A big warm thank you letter for the Kuwaiti Football Association and the directors of the Kuwaiti Sports Committee "
